A museum is a non-profit, permanent institution at the service of society, which researches, collects , conserves, interprets and exhibits material and intangible heritage. Open to the public, accessible and inclusive , museums promote diversity and sustainability. With the participation of communities , museums operate and communicate ethically and professionally , offering experiences varied for education, enjoyment, reflection and the exchange of knowledge .

The MUSEOS.VE magazine is a virtual meeting space for professionals who work in the Venezuelan museum area. Its fundamental objective is to disseminate the experiences that arise from the dynamics of the museum and the processes that constitute its reason for being: conserving, researching, communicating and exhibiting the cultural and natural heritage of the nation. Museos.VE is a digital publication edited by the National Museums Foundation (FMN) with the support of the National Museum System (SiNM) and the International Council of Museums (ICOM-Venezuela).
