ICOM is the international organization of museums and museum professionals whose purpose is to investigate, perpetuate, perpetuate and transmit to society the world's cultural and natural heritage, present and future, tangible and intangible. It is a membership association and a non-governmental organization that sets professional and ethical standards for museum activities.

 

As an expert forum, it makes recommendations on issues related to cultural heritage, promotes capacity building and advances knowledge. ICOM is the voice of museum professionals on the international stage and increases public cultural awareness through global networks and cooperation programs.
