Within the framework of the celebration of International Museum Day 2024, under the motto "Museums for Education and Research", the International Council of Museums, ICOM-Venezuela opens this year's call to new members 2025.

This initiative aims to strengthen the participation of students, professionals, researchers and lovers of art and museology in our country.

Who can apply?

Museum professionals and workers in their various areas must present a work certificate that certifies their practice in said institutions.

Students from different areas of knowledge, sciences, social sciences, humanities, engineering, among others, must attach a certificate that supports their studies.

Steps to apply

Those interested can contact us via email: secretariaicomve@gmail.com to request the membership form. In addition, they must write a letter explaining their reasons for joining ICOM and their connection to the museum context.

Required documentation

Once the application has been completed, it is important to send it along with the stipulated documentation to the digital address of the ICOM Secretariat.

Evaluation by the committee

During its sessions in 2024, the committee will evaluate the applications following the procedure established by this international body.

Benefits of integration to ICom-Venezuela

Among the benefits of this integration to ICOM-Venezuela are access to educational platforms specialized in museology, scholarships, access to specialized digital publications, attendance at courses, workshops and seminars with which ICOM-Venezuela establishes alliances.

In addition, its members join ICOM's global data network that enjoys the benefits of access to museums and other international cultural alternatives. The types of participation that are contemplated are: ordinary member, retirees, associates, institutional, students and beneficiaries (individual and institutional).
